Not getting caught up in the news, just aware…
No doubt more aware as people I know come to mind in various communities where tragedies are happening. Thinking of my friends in the media as I continue to pray for the families, friends, and community of the reporter, cameraman and lone survivor back in Virginia. Remembering the firefighters whose lives were taken as I think about my friend’s parents who lost everything – their home, farm, and animals in Omak. …I have a young friend, Nancy, a recent college grad, who has been called into duty to help fight the fires. Please pray for her protection, wisdom and courage as well as that that of others on the front line.
…I’m aware that other friends are struggling personally as well.
Yes, life brings the ebbs and flows, the highs and lows -offering both pain and joy. This week has been celebratory in some areas and heavy in others.
…Let’s keep our eyes on the prize as we encourage and support each other and our communities during these difficult times.
