Custom Color Analysis + Toxic Relationships Go Together?! …Unexpectedly, today they did!!!
A woman came down from Calgary Canada to receive a custom color analysis from her daughter as a birthday gift. She had her colors done long ago when she was a high contrast brunette. Now her hair was warm gray with an overall low contrast look to her natural coloring. Anyhoo, I wanted to give her something special for her birthday as she left, so when I was off to the store to grab a bouquet I thought to give her “Incredible Life: Top Experts Reveal How to Create Yours”.
This was a book I was honored to co -author which included my chapter, “Fear to Freedom. …I’d set in on the counter and didn’t mention anything. Eventually the daughter asked if she could look at my Lookbook, but unbeknownst to me started reading my chapter. My paragraph on boundaries and getting rid of toxic relationships intrigued her and while I was focused on doing the color analysis she asked her mom if she wanted her to read it to her…..The above paragraph is what she read aloud & it struck up some pretty good dialogue that, you got it…..went far beyond colors and fashion and dove into the heart of things (what I love!). It was just meant to be…
In the end, I got to tell her that the book has 20 experts sharing from their experience and that the book was my gift to her. Oh, they were delighted -as was I! What was supposed to be an hour long package elegantly turned into 2 hours and it was a happy birthday indeed…for all of us!

***OUTSIDE TIP: If you had your colors accurately done before you grayed, you will be able to wear the same range just in a different intensity and your best hues may have shifted as well.
