• Why did you enlist Kim’s support & What did your life/business look like #BEFORE working with Uniquely Savvy?

I came into contact with Kim Peterson and Uniquely Savvy at a time critical time in in my life. My mother had just been diagnosed with terminal cancer and my aunt was also critically ill at the time. I was consumed by both of these major circumstances and was doing everything I could just to keep my head above water. Life was giving me LEMONS!! I wanted to make lemonade but literally had no capacity to even make the effort to do so. I had no time to consider goals, or personal achievement or bettering myself. The sheer survival of my family members was my daily focus. Yet, in the midst of this storm that seemed to be ever raging, I was sent to Kim and Uniquely Savvy, as a gift – both literally and figuratively.

• What goals did you desire to achieve?
  
  Initially, my only goal upon our first meeting was to design a shirt through J. Hilburn custom menswear, of which Kim is a brand ambassador. This was certainly accomplished, and I was beyond pleased with the final product. However, this shirt appointment was much more of a divine encounter. It was during this design process that Kim tapped into her unique skill set and poured into my life in a way that was unplanned, unscheduled and unscripted but exactly what I needed in that moment. My main goal at that time was to simply get from one day to the next. Beyond that, I wanted my life back. I wanted things to be better for me and everything connected to me. My goal? My goal was to get back to having goals…
• How has life/business transformed during and #AFTER working with Uniquely Savvy?

I have been a real estate broker since 2005. I was a strong goal setter early in my real estate career. However, after the downturn in the economy I stopped setting goals and just began to take life as it came. Whichever direction the wind blew is whatever direction I would go. A major transformation that has taken place in my life after Uniquely Savvy is that I moved back to goal setting. While it sounds simple on its face, the enormity of this change is indescribable. I was transformed by the renewing of my mind that I could determine where I wanted to go, and get there, regardless of what way the wind blows! This had a dual impact on me and I set forth business goals and also personal goals. Having a set of articulated, values based, goals gave me the fuel I needed to get out of the bed every day and kick life in the pants!Another major transformation that was a catalyst to my business was the formulation of my positioning statement for my business. To have the opportunity to develop such a statement has been invaluable. With the help of Uniquely Savvy, I was able to move beyond being just a “real estate broker”. I am now able to succinctly articulate not only what I do, but the value that I bring to potential clients.With goals and a strong positioning statement in place, my confidence both personally and professionally was impacted. I struggled with fear and confidence before working with Kim and Uniquely Savvy. Now, I have new found sense of boldness that enables me to accomplish beyond what I have even imagined for myself.

Life has significantly changed from the time I started working with Uniquely Savvy. My mother, who was once terminally ill, is now cancer free! My aunt, who was also critically ill, received the double lung transplant she needed and is now living her best life! The joy of this, combined with empowerment from Uniquely Savvy have fueled what the success I sit in today. In fact, my business has more than tripled since I began working with Kim. Further, nearly three years ago while sitting in my first workshop with Uniquely Savvy, I set a personal goal to obtain an MBA degree. Today, I am so proud to note that that mission has been accomplished!

I have participated in several workshops including “Harnessing the Power of Authentic Personal Branding”, “Create, Champion and Live Your Vision of Success”, and Pitch creation. Additionally I have utilized Uniquely Savvy’s Business Coaching/Mentoring.

• What’s next for you?

Well, I can only go up from here! As always – if you or any one you know is looking to experience peace of mind and confidence as you step into a new future through buying or selling real estate – I am your guy!Working with Kim and Uniquely Savvy in conjunction with the success I have achieved as a result, has set me on a path of continuous improvement. I am constantly striving to get, do and be BETTER. What’s next? I am always looking to raise the high water mark. More ways to serve, more opportunities to give. Most recently I was appointed to the Human Rights Commission by the mayor and city council in my city. I am excited about serving my community in this capacity. Currently, I am also looking for board service opportunities.

• Tell us something about working with Coach Kim that doesn’t meet the eye?

Kim Peterson is HILARIOUS! Kim has multiple modalities she works from. Her tools, tactics and strategies are definitely challenging and filled with appropriate rigor. As a mentor, Kim will also operate in honest healing truth. However, as serious and life changing as all of that is – Kim is always up for a good laugh. I recall a quote that says “laughter is like a medicine to the soul”. Somehow, Kim incorporates a good chuckle or a teary eyed belly laugh here- and-there that are absolutely as life giving as the tangible material she presents.
